The delegation from the Order of St. John Paul II (Dr. Terry F. Rees, Superior General; Mr. David Momoh Howard, Supreme Secretary; and Delegate Mr. Christopher D. Rees) made the Second Mission Trip to Sierra Leone between February 14-March 4, 2020. The purposes of this Second Mission Trip were to meet with the Archbishop/Bishops of Sierra Leone, to finalize Memoranda of Understanding with various Government Ministries, to meet with the new members of the Order, and to visit sites where the Order would be working in the Country.

A delegation from the Order of St. John Paul II (Dr. Terry F. Rees, Superior General; Mr. David Momoh Howard, Supreme Secretary; and Delegate Mr. Christopher D. Rees) made the First Mission Trip to Sierra Leone between April 24-May 15, 2019. The purpose of this fact-finding trip was to establish the Order on the African Continent, meet with Church officials in the Archdiocese of Freetown, the Diocese of Bo, the Diocese of Kenema, and the Diocese of Makeni. The Delegation also met with key government officials and educational institutions.

The Order of St. John Paul II’s official launch was held on March 23, 2019, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Elk Grove, CA. We partnered with the Sierra Leone Humanitarian Project for this event. Special Guests: His Excellency, Mr. Sidique Abou-Bakarr Wai (Sierra Leone Ambassador to the United States) and Ms Mary Marable (Special Assistant to the Mayor of Elk Grove CA). A wine-and-cheese reception followed the launch.
