Superior General, Founding Director & Executive Director

Dr. Rees received his Ph.D. from Colorado School of Mines and has published over 500 scientific papers and books covering nuclear chemistry, geochemistry, watershed science, environmental justice, and international issue resolution. In addition to a distinguished career in public service, he has served as an adjunct professor at Colorado School of Mines, Western Nevada College, and the University of Nevada.

Dr. Rees is the founder, Superior General and Executive Director of the Order of St. John Paul II. As Superior General, he is the chief executive officer and chairman of the board for the Order. The Order currently has programs in North America and in Africa.

The expertise Dr. Rees brings to the Order includes watershed restoration and management, geologic hazard evaluation and mitigation, hydrologic assessment and development, and management of large multidisciplinary teams.
